Final day
…On the morning of our final day at Chelsea, the garden finally felt settled; plants well watered, finally finding a natural orientation to the sun. Never looked better!
Awarded a tastefully restrained Silver medal plus a ‘Highly Commended RHS Environmental Innovation Award’ for sustainability, it has been a total delight to engage with people throughout the week and hear first hand how our garden made them feel. So many unsolicited beautiful comments sends us onwards with positivity and renewed desire to do more work in the therapeutic garden field….. after a little break of course!!
A beautiful moment formed the icing on the cake for us when a young man approached me asking if he could access the garden. When I queried ‘why’ he surreptitiously showed me an engagement ring. What a lovely way to end a perfect week.
Ps She said ‘Yes!’ !
