Night Breathing
We were delighted to be able to bring our Chelsea garden to life at night. Our evening functions held during show week became something special.
Special thanks to dpa lighting consultants who’s lighting scheme was deliberately understated, carefully placing luminaires in concealed locations across the garden. Coordinated lighting to the perimeter panelling reinforced the architectural rhythm of this backdrop.
Focus was given to the two sculptural pine trees with warm white uplighting to show their form and draw the visitor towards them into the garden.
Once at the architectural pavilion, a simple glow of light beneath the minimal bench offered sufficient soft brightness and encourages the user to pause and enjoy the space.
Thanks also to LightGraphix, who very generously donated the light fittings for the Breathing Space garden at Chelsea and for Rotherham BreathingSpace garden.
