FOREST GARDEN

An urban ‘forest garden ’ to compliment Rock Architects Passivhaus retrofit of a Cambridge 1950s house.

Great clients with a strong wildlife aesthetic led us to create an informal woodland edge garden, incorporating habitat for hedgehogs, pond life and insects.

Pathways meander though tapestry planting to an outdoor kitchen in a sunny corner glade. Acer palmatum multi stem trees define the flow with Taxus topiary and Selslaria autumnalis giving an evergreen backbone for all year round interest.

These images show a garden freshly installed, having been planted June ‘26.
