Granular Chelsea: The Sculpture

We are delighted to be working with Kent-based sculptor Oliver Barratt who is creating an ‘abstracted lung’ piece for our Asthma + Lung UK Breathing Space garden.

Here you see the artist’s early mouldings of the piece that will be scaled around 1.2 tall and placed on a plinth within our taller foliage shrubs. Once developed this will ultimately be cast in bronze in rich plum / burgundy colours and speaks of the containment and flow - a narrative that runs through our garden.

At the time, it felt unique. There wasn’t another Disney film that looked like it. And, really, that uniqueness survives today: Disney hasn’t quite copied it since.

One Hundred and One Dalmatians (1961) was a huge deal. Reportedly, it was “the first animated feature to earn more than $10 million on its initial release.”1 Which was exciting, because the project was an experiment. For one, the story was set in the mid-century when the mid-century was new. And there’s that design.

A self published book from Present&Correct featuring fifty incredibly illustrated pre-war tourist maps for various attractions around Japan.

In 2025 Present&Correct found the maps rummaging in Tokyo's Jinbocho area before photographing and collating them into this beautiful 136 page paperback.

Restaurant Iris

Restaurant Iris by Norm Architects in Rosendal, Norway wraps Michelin-starred dining in walnut and wool—a soft interior afloat within the brutalist shell of the Salmon Eye.

The Hardangerfjord stretches between mountains and glaciers in western Norway, its waters home to salmon farms that have transformed the region's economy. On this body of water, the Salmon Eye floats—a steel ellipsoid clad in scales that mimic the fish it was built to celebrate. Inside this alien form, Norm Architects faced an unusual challenge: how to make a Michelin-starred restaurant feel like home when the architecture insists on spectacle.
