Excitement is mounting with the news that one of the raunchiest, most outrageous and just plain sexy men in rock is to have a garden bearing his name.

Step forward Iggy Pop. In my wildest dreams, I would never have envisaged the man who made crowd-diving an art form, as a chap who would be holding a hoe.

Designed by former singer-songwriter Angus Thompson, the garden will feature an arc of water programmed to the beat of Iggy's tune.

By the way, the garden is sponsored by Ecclesiastical Insurance - you couldn't make it up.
